this is a composite of all 21 rollercoasters I have been on in the past 21 months, in slow motion. or it's a 21st birthday dedication for a very special fellow I happen to know...
...misplaced pieces of paper marked with tiny black dots of ink. on the one hand, each dot is comprised of clumps of electrons and other types of things surmised; on the other hand, these specks are aggregated to form patterns which stimulate in the viewer's mind perceptions of encoded pieces of infomation and meaning, pointers to coherent particles of cognition -- very clever, are these humans. recently, in my own case, a particular piece of paper was found in a box, in a closet, addressed to me, long forgotten. sure enough, as predicted, the dots stirred up memories inside the the space between my ears. after absorbing these bio.electro.chemical reactions, I then translated the codes into musical particles, using an imaginary invention called the Musical Emotion Picture Translator, MEPT, which cost me approximately a lot of money, and the result was this track, ah ha.
my first Amtrak voyage, Chicago to Minnesota, on the way to visit with the north branch of our clan, and to attend the Eden Prairie high school graduation of nearly a thousand roaring fresh Michele Bachmann fans. Amtrak train a luxury, flying across the endless sea of Wisconsin greenery. thoughts wander, and I do too, in and out of the observation car.
...misplaced anchovies snapping around clumps of electrons formed into water molecules shout "We renounce the use of Russian-made vacuum tubes manufactured after the 1955 Hungarian revolution!" No one understands anchovies.
multi-dimensional vibrational analysis theory developed by Igor Stravinsky's wife Vera after spending an afternoon in Prague with Einstein. do you think?
better living through particle physics. the collection, acceleration and directed collisions of musical materials. the results are anayzed and filed away in cabinets.
